It’s likely you’ve heard plenty about search engine optimization but what about “Digital Asset Optimization”?
Many companies that have applied basic SEO principles to standard web site content see substantial benefits. Adding new content and attracting links help maintain search marketing performance but is that all you can do to be competitive with SEO? No.
A natural progression of SEO is a holistic approach that considers all of a company’s searchable assets that can be keyword optimized and promoted online. Standard optimization of content in the form of web page SEO is a starting point that can be extended to various media types that are increasingly prominent in both standard search as well as media specific search such as images, video and audio. Digital Asset Optimization (DAO) can be applied to various document/file formats such as RSS, MS Office, Flash, PDF, etc as well.

Taglines are perhaps the most underrated and underused elements of personal and business blogs, yet they serve a huge function. The social web has conditioned us to move through content-based sites quickly, and if we reach a site with an unclear thesis we’re likely to click to the next thing. You also can’t count on visitors to read your “about” page.
In a world that increasingly moves at 140 characters or less, having a hook such as a clever tagline can make all the difference. Taglines are your brand’s elevator pitch and help people get a quick snapshot of who you are. It’s your opportunity to be descriptive, catchy, memorable and create a unique brand for your blog. They also present a great opportunity for keyword inclusion, but not at the sacrifice of stickiness. Ideally you can combine something catchy and SEO friendly.

Search Engine Optimization is a method used to get more traffic to your website. Whenever someone performs a search online they are using a search engine. With thousands or sometimes millions of potential sites to look at you need to find a way to make sure that your site appears as high up in the search results as possible.
Research has found that people only look at the first one to three pages of results from a Web search before choosing to click on a site. Therefore it is of extreme importance that you get your site to the top of the list. In order to keep people coming back enough times to make a purchase you need to provide them with some useful information once they reach your site. Keep your site up-to-date by renewing content often and by adding current features such as a blog.
The way to get your site to the top of the search list results is through search engine optimization. Search engines send out what are called Web crawlers or spiders to retrieve information from pertinent sites. This is how your site will be located in search engines. The search engines look for what are called Meta tags on the pages of your site.

It’s hard to conceptualize the number 1,000,000,000. One billion sheets of paper could circle the earth at the equator well over five times. Counting to one billion would take about 30 years of your life, even if you never stop to sleep. And if you had to find a single piece of information by sorting through a billion documents it would take you, on average, about 2000 years.
Businesses and large organizations have tons of documents and other types of data — some even have a billion documents that need searching, and it’s unlikely that employees have 2000 years to dedicate to the hunt.
Figuring out how to navigate the complex content systems of large organizations is a tough problem, one we’ve dedicated years to solving.
Google has released the newest version of our solution, the Google Search Appliance 6.0 (GSA), which has the capacity to search billions of documents. So whether you own a small business with a few thousand docs or belong to a huge organization with a billion, the GSA can search them all.

You would likely need to translate manually via Google language tools or in Toolbar. Today Google is excited to announce that translations will be even easier with the newest release of Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer. They have been working with the Translate team to make translations faster and more integrated part of your browsing experience.
The Translate feature automatically detects if the language of a webpage you’re on is different from your default language setting and allows you to translate it. With one click, you can now instantly translate the page and all of its text will appear in the new language.
Language detection happens only on your computer, so no information is sent to Google until you choose to translate a page. You can find more details about how the feature works at: Easy New Google Translator . . .
